Principal

Principal Cory LaBoube

Cory LaBoube

Welcome to Lucy Franklin Elementary! My name is Cory LaBoube and this is my 3rd year as principal at Lucy Franklin. Before coming to LFE, I spent two years as principal at William Bryant Elementary and served as an assistant principal at Paul Kinder Middle School. I've also taught at Brittany Hill Middle School and Lucy Franklin Elementary. I am a high school graduate of the Odessa School District and I completed my undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Central Missouri.

As building principal, my goal is to create and maintain a safe, secure, nurturing, environment for students that create positive, life-long relationships with students and staff. We hope to foster a learning environment where students thrive academically and have the confidence that they can be whatever they set out to be. My mission is to develop teachers and staff at Lucy Franklin who share the same vision for our students and aid them in reaching their greatest potential.  Lucy Franklin is a student-centered building that values the input and partnership with all our families. I believe that each of us play a valuable role in the education of our students and it is through our collaboration that success happens.

Outside of school, I am a father of 4: Emery, Brooks, Owen and Isaac. We live in Odessa and they are all in the Odessa School system. My wife, Maggie, has been a big part of the William Bryant family for several years. We always seem to be busy with sports and many other family activities. And, when we can, we love fishing, going on bike rides and setting-up family movie nights. It is an honor to be part of the Blue Springs School District and I count it a privilege to work with your children each day. Each year brings new excitement and as we work through this year together, I can’t wait to see the growth and success to come!

Once a Leopard, Always a Leopard!
