Kaylee Nelson
Dear LFE Families,
I am thrilled to begin my ninth year in education as a Lucy Franklin Leopard! I have been a part of the Blue Springs School District both as a student and now as an administrator. After graduating from the University of Central Missouri, I taught 5th grade at Cordill-Mason Elementary; and taught 3rd grade at Thomas Ultican Elementary for 5 years. During my time teaching, I received both my master's and specialist's degree in administration. I am excited to return for a third year as assistant principal for Lucy Franklin Elementary!
On a personal note, I live in Blue Springs with my husband Ricky and our dogs Ollie and Tia. We like to play board games, spend time with our families and friends; and travel. I also enjoy reading whenever I have a chance!
At BSSD, we believe that every student has a voice and is a valued part of our community. The best way to ensure our students feel valued is to support our students is to unite the home community with that of the school. We hope to foster a learning environment where students thrive academically and have the confidence that they can be whatever they set out to be. I look forward to working with you for the success of our students and am grateful to partner with you in educating your children.
Thank you,
Mrs. Kaylee Nelson
