Something New at LFE This Year

We now have a Ga-Ga Ball Pit!  We were able to receive this through donations and efforts from the Craft Family in conjunction with the Savin family.  The highlight of this donation project is that it was part of an Eagle Scout project for Andrei Savin, along with Troop 1138 (boys) and Troop 7138 (girls).  The Ga-Ga Ball Pit is located on the blacktop of the playground behind the school so that it can be enjoyed during recess throughout the year.  LFE is so excited and grateful to have this new activity for our students!

Lunch Visitors at Lucy Franklin

Starting September 18, 2023, all elementary schools in the Blue Springs School District will allow visitors to eat lunch with their students. 

To help maintain a safe and orderly school environment, we ask for your cooperation by adhering to the guidelines below:

• Please use the following link to sign-up to eat lunch with your student.  Guests must sign-up at least two days in advance.  This helps us better accommodate our guests and seating. Sign-Up Link:  https://lfelunch23-24.youcanbook.me/

• Please allow time to check in at the front office. A photo ID will be requested. Once properly checked in, visitors must wear a visitor sticker while in the building. The process will be more efficient if all your information is updated in the Parent Portal. You can view or edit your Parent Portal by going HERE.

• All lunch visitors must complete a 2023-2024 Volunteer Application at least three days before their first visit. The Volunteer Application only needs to be filled out once during the 2023-2024 school year. You may access an application HERE if you have not yet completed a Volunteer Application for this year.

• A designated eating area will be identified at each school. Lunch will be with you and your student only.  We request that other students not sit or share food with you and your student.  Once the student’s lunch period is over, all visitors must leave the building and are not allowed to walk their student to the classroom or attend recess.
• Please exit through the front office so that you may check out with the office personnel.
