Principal’s Message

Welcome to Lucy Franklin Elementary,  home of the Leopards!

We are excited to have you as part of the Lucy Franklin family. My name is Brian Lowe and I have had the honor to be a part of the Blue Springs School District for three years. Prior to coming to Blue Springs, I spent 32 years in Olathe. The 2025-2026 school year will mark my 28th year as an elementary principal. Simply put, I love being a principal!   Personally, I am married to my wife Heather (also an educator) and we have four children and four grandchildren. It is my privilege to serve as a principal of this amazing school community.  

Lucy Franklin is a wonderful school because of the outstanding students, supportive parents, and dedicated staff members. Each day we take pride in providing a stimulating and inviting learning environment for our students. Our school motto is “LFE is the SPOT to be”, and we are so proud of our school. We all want our students to become successful, life-long learners and believe that you are a part of the team that helps us achieve our goal. We are looking forward to being a partner with you in your child’s education as we work together to make the best school year possible. You are a valuable part of the success your child will have at school.  

Our goal is to provide an inviting atmosphere where every child, parent, and staff member feel like they belong. We are your school family. We are a team, so please reach out if you have any questions or ideas to make our school the absolute best. Your feedback is so valuable. Our primary goal is to provide your child with the opportunities and experiences that are essential to educational success at LFE and beyond.
